New 2020 Silverado SRW 3500
I have a problem not with the new truck but now I’m to tall. I am now 13ft 7in tall, I want to be a inch or two less. I have a B&W hitch that’s at the bottom. I have 20in tires. The camper is a Cedar Creek fifth wheel. I have a TrailAir pin box. I noticed today that when I let the air from the bladder the camper dropped. Does anyone know that if I trade pin boxes for a MoRyde will that lower my trailer height. Right now I have 8 1/2 inches between the truck rails and camper. Any help would be appreciated. I realize this is a Keystone forum but the new 2020 Silverado 3500 is like a tank. I can’t imagine the new Silverado being a dually on the county roads I live on

Why not raise the pin box just one set of holes.

The pin box can’t be raised up up, at least I haven’t found any more holes. I looked for more bolt holes.

Going with Anderson hitch you could lower the ball 3 inches lowering you camper. I have the ball pined on the lowest hoe I’m at 4 inches from the bed pulling 20 k miles in all kind of terrine and never have bumped the rails .

I like my B&W hitch besides I just paid $460.00 for the B&W base. I have looked at the Anderson hitch but I have always liked my B&W, if I need to take the hitch out I just leave the hitch on the pin box

As long as you have the ball for the center hole.

I know that people that have Anderson hitches love them and I may have to get one. I like my B&W, I was asking about a pin box.

I may have found my problem. I took my Cedar Creek back to the factory because the front cap had faded in 2016 and I saw the TrailAir there at the factory. I asked the price and was told $240.00 installed. The people that installed the hitch must not have ever installed a pin box before because they put a bolt in every hole. I’m calling a local RV dealership today and see if they can install the pin box right.

How many bolts on each side? Should be minimum of four, up to six on a heavy 5er.

I have a appointment at Carolina RV in Myrtle Beach S.C. on Tuesday next week to fix it or tell me what I have to do.
