Chester, PA

I'm thinking/planning our last east coast trip, overdue to get back west. So y'all know I'm up to my ears in genealogy. I have the affliction of needing to "walk where they walked". Some of my ancestors lived in Chester PA in the late 1600's and early 1700's. They lived near where the Chester City hall is now, not too far from I-95. Looking on Google street view the streets are very narrow and the neighborhood looks pretty bad.
Could someone that is familiar with that specific area give me an opinion of the issues. I doubt if I will even get out of the truck.
Merry Christmas!
