Look into the Oregon State Parks along the coast, they are great!

We are frequent visitors to Whidby Island, WA and have camped at a few sites there - mainly State Parks on or around the Island. If you are going to be spending a few days there, I can give you the names of places we have stayed but we haven't stayed at the one you mentioned. Is it on Whidby Island?

We've stayed at Fidalgo Bay, South Whidby State Park and a city park in Oak Harbor but not at North Whidby RV Park. If you want some information about the three parks that I've mentioned, send me a PM.

North Whidby RV Park is situated right across from Deception Pass State Park on Hwy 20. If you do a Google search, it will come up and you can read about it there. Also, if you go to this site (www.campgroundreviews.com) North Whidby is reviwed there.

I agree head down to Oregon. They have the best state parks.

In Northern Oregon coast- Nehalem has a long wide open beach with a bit of a dune climb but worth it. Central - Beachside south of Newport is right on the beach, quick walk down. South -Bandon is one of the prettiest beaches and towns on the Oregon coast. I love the tide pools. A nice park but stick to the outside spots nearest the front gates because those closest to the dunes you can't sit outside without mosquitoes eating you alive.

They have my vote as well. I would highly recommend that if you plan on staying at one or more of these state parks along the Oregon coast that you make reservations well in advance. Because they are "the best", they are also very popular.
