Spare tire cover

Anyone put a cover on the spare stored under the RV? Just wondering if it would come off during travel. Got a cover for free and figured protect the spare.

Hard to say on that one. I have my spare tucked underneath as well. I would think in the rain while traveling it would capture water and eventually fall off due to weight or just retain the water/moisture. Possibly crud that gets tossed up by the rear wheels or road grime would also be trapped. Would wind resistance blow it off? Who knows. Let us know what you find out... ie works for you as I also have a spare, spare tire cover.

I don't see a problem as long as the opening is facing down. That's how I carry my covered spare in the bed of my truck. If it is a winch type tire rack you might be out of luck with the opening facing up and no place for water to drain.

You can always cut a slit in the center and stitch Velcro at the slit. Then slide on with big hole down to drain and seal at Velcro.
