thanks for the reply CW. The Florida campground that you stayed at is just too far off route for us. We will be heading south on I-75 out of Atlanta all the way to St. petersburg. We dont want to go to far away from I-75. We will just be staying at the Ocala sun rv resort one night. Then head to our destination of tierre verde, fla the next morning. I would normally just drive all the way without stopping but we will have my one year old grand daughter and a 90 pound Lab dog in the back seat. 5 or 6 hundred miles in one day will wear them out. I drive that far every day at work in a tractor trailer with no problem. Its a whole new ballgame with a crying baby and an anxious dog in the seat behind me. Besides, whats the hurry? I will be on vacation. Again thanks anyway

I always try to find my stop overs on this site. Have yet to have a "terrible" experience. Some people are more picky than others, but anytime you are traveling a major highway, ease of getting in and out with no trashy environment is a winner.

Looks like folks like your selection. I'd say it's going to be a good trip for you.

Love Ocala area. even though you are just pass'n through. GREAT place to spend a few days sometime and ride through the rolling countryside and the absolutely beautiful horse farms.....weeeeeeee heee! Ocala in some places is very similar to Lexington, KY.

rv sun resort ocala

we lived 5 minutes from there and passed it everyday to/from work. and it has always looked to be well maintained and fairly quiet, its close to food places and the mall for shopping and of course right off 75.

coming from Ga you'll get off 75 at ocala exit, stay on left lane make that left at light, stay on far right lane and you'll see cracker barrel on your right, make that right turn and go down the road till stop sign. you'll see holiday inn hotel your right follow road and its right around the turn besides holiday inn.

Stormy

Hi there. Where near The Villages is a good RV park? We need to visit someone in the area this winter for perhaps 3 days. We do not use state parks as most do not have full hookup. At our age, we enjoy all comforts.
Any suggestions?
Tnx

rv campground thevillages

hello,

I have attached a link http://www.recreationplantation.com/

it is very nice, clean, quiet, and is near the TheVillages. they have
full hookups, dump station, etc., our TT is stored there, and that's where
we will be staying initially when we start our full timing, after we clear out
our current place.

It is also near the TheVillages and malls and shopping/eating places. right off of
466. about 30 mins drive south of Ocala.
