Pipestem RV Resort State Pk, W. Virginia

Has anyone stayed here before?

They have a large lodge and also camping.

We are meeting friends there in September (hopefully) and their reservations are by mail-in request only........ (dark ages still.......)

Thanks for any info!

Jo

We have not camped at Pipestem but have been there a couple of times for day outings. The mountains are beautiful, I'm sure you'll enjoy the area. There is an old drive in theatre near the park and it is still in operation. After looking at their site, this is what I found for their reservation policy: Campground Guidelines and Reservation Information
Reservations will be taken beginning February 15.

Only MAIL-IN reservations will be taken from February 15 - March 14.
Reservations postmarked before February 15 will be returned.

Phone Reservations will be taken beginning March 15 between 8 AM - 4 PM.

Walk-in reservations will be taken beginning April 1 and filled subject to availability.

ADA accessible sites will be rented on a first come, first serve basis to the general public following the handicap preference period which is from February 15 - March 15.

A minimum of two (2) nights, up to a maximum of fourteen (14) nights, is required when making a reservation.

If a reservation is canceled more than seven (7) days in advance, the deposit will be refunded with the exception of the handling fee plus the first night's rental. If canceled seven (7) days or less in advance, no refund will be given.

Up to 50% of the 82 sites are available for seasonal reservations.

Reservations may be made by mail, phone, or in person up to two (2) days in advance and must be secured by payment of a deposit for the entire rental fee, plus a $5.00 handling charge.

Payment of the deposit may be made by personal check, money order or accepted credit cards.

The deposit must be received in accordance with instructions given by the park office at the time the reservation is made.
