Really? No-one Knows? Bed Sizes?

We are the proud owners of a 18' Montana 3950BR and en route to see it for the 1st time. We can not find ANYONE who knows the correct size of the 4 beds in the rig & we can't buy sheets until we measure? Does anyone know the distance from the top of the "king size" mattress to the floor? Any advice would be appreciated. Gary & Jane

What does the distance from the top of the bed to floor have to do with the size of the bed? Just Aasking

Don't want to have the bedding on the floor and need to order correct size sheets and comforters.

We have a camper king in our Alpine. 70”wide by 80” long. We will be adding a 4” pad to our mattress but the King sheets from Target fit fine. They have extra elastic on them.

You bought it without looking at it first?

Happens more often than you would think.

I don't know the sizes of any of your beds or what Keystone provides, but every new rv we've bought came with bedspreads, granted DW didn't care for a couple of them, but didn't have to replace it before we picked it up.
To my knowledge there's 2 sizes of king & queen mattresses, rv king or regular king & rv queen or regular queen. The rv versions are a bit smaller.
If you got 3 other beds I suspect its a bunkhouse & least 2 of those would be twins. But just guessing!

Chances are that you will not be happy with the OEM mattress anyway. Most do one of two things to make the bed more comfy. Either add a mattress topper or replace the mattress. Best to buy sheets, etc. after settling on what makes you comfortable.

Enjoy your new rig, make memories, happy camping!

Straight from the kind folks at Keystone in Goshen, IN
1) 64" X 74" main living area
2) 60" X 68" bunk room
3) 64" X 72" loft above bunk room
Thanks to all who contributed and we hope to do the same as we learn.

Bed sizes vary, as mentioned there are 'regular' and 'rv sizes'. The best approach would be to measure when you get the unit delivered.

ALSO: it is likely the bed mattress will need replacement or at least augmentation. In my travel trailer we added a topper, in the 5th wheel we threw away the old mattress, and standard queen fit in both cases. The new mattress was much thicker, so we also had to lower the bed platform, which required carpentry work that I did myself. Both all the bed spreads supplied fit old and new mattress in both cases.

Our 2019 29BHS has the "RV King" mattress that is as hard as a rock. We immediately went to Sam's and got a 4" memory foam topper for it. We marked the size of the mattress onto the topper and I took an electric knife to the the foam to cut it to size. It worked better than I expected!

We use regular King sheets, but they have plenty of loose fabric due to the size difference.

Is the topper still working for you? We have the same situation and have been trying to find a new mattress that will fit the odd size. Sticker shock with a custom mattress.

After trimming it down to the size of the bed, it's working well. The topper was around $149 at Sam's for the 4" memory foam one.

The size has to do with thickness of mattress. My bed is part of the slide out, so there is a header on top. If you sit up in the bed it is possible to hit your head.
When we upgraded the mattress it was a lot thicker than OEM.
