Who have you "introduced" to camping?

September 2017 on the weekend after Labor Day the DW and I we were joined by son Christopher and 8-yr-old granddaughter Charlotte. I have pictures of little Chris taking a bath in a big 5-gallon bucket during tent camping days of yore so he knows what's up, but city kid Charlotte had never gone camping. They had poofy air mattresses so I borrowed a nice tent and sleeping bags. Our 17' Nomad at that time was rather small for four and besides, Char was excited to stay in a tent!

Charlotte informed us upon their arrival that she had taken TWO showers so as to stay clean. You'd think that meant trouble (or at minimum the draining of our fresh water tank), but after hiking through the pines and near the lake, gathering under the awning during a freak rain/hail storm, kayaking with her Dad, building/starting a campfire herself, eating smores and yes, sleeping in a tent, that kid is hooked on camping and ready to go again!

Now if we can just get her more "citified" sister to join us I will have successfully infected another generation.

My grandchildren have all been introduced and love it. We also introduced some friends to camping in an RV and now they own one.

Both of our kids love it, we started them as babies. Now my sons kids love it, but to his wife it's too dirty & using the rv or park showers is "just gross".
