ETRAC on walls

I am considering adding some sections of Etrac on the garage walls just above the diamond plate. I will need to locate the studs to do this correctly. I understand the studs are aluminum. Anyone have a simple way of locating them?
Don't know if a stud finder will work

Try shinni g a light on an amgle at wall u will be able to see the staple heads go into the wall
