I just did a forum search for "RADIO ANTENNA" and received 75 hits, nearly all of which discuss the location of the antenna and how to improve radio reception.

Here's a sampling:

These threads deal directly with your question and have all the information you should need to not only answer your question regarding the location of your antenna, but also give you some options on what you can do to improve radio reception. We ask members to use the search function to see if their question has been previously discussed, and in this case, there's already a wealth of information at hand.

Good Luck with improving your radio reception.

Mine was rolled up behind the radio. It was nothing but a twin wire lead & had the antenna end for plugging into the radio. I stretched it out both ways and tacked it to the wooden frame behind the radio slot/hole. works fine now

Out of curiosity I removed my radio to see what they did. I was surprised to find it stretched out and extended inside the wall between the radio cabinet and the shower and with a small mirror I could see it running up that wall. So all I can say is they must have extended mine as the radio works just fine.

Thanks all for the responses. So I pulled the head unit out and turns out they had the antenna tied into the coax that must go up to the HDTV antenna. Bad connection on this connection and now it works.
