Fuzion 412 Tie-downs

Hello To Fellow RVer's
I'm looking for feedback on the tie down rings used in the Fuzion TH. I am hesitant to apply pressure on the tie downs with the ratchet straps. So subsequently the rear portion of the bike starts dancing. I just repaired the scuff marks that occurred on the bike. Quite frankly the d-rings seem a little lite weight if you ask me.

I'm not sure what year your unit is, but the d rings are part of the reason I purchased a Fuzion. They are rated for 2500# each and welded to the frame. Many other manufacturers use screw down 1500# tie downs. On the 2014 models they are rated to 5000#.

I got the fuzion 310 with the monster pk.
It had the D rings welded to the frame.

When we where looking at other toy hauler's some of the D rings was a joke
look like they would not hold down a kids bike

We have a 16' cargo trailer we pull and haul our bikes in I installed these with the back plate and after like 7 years still holding strong.

If the next toy hauler I get dose not have the D rings welded to the frame
Ill just spend the day and install them good peace of mind for the money.

Here's what I have in my cargo trailer.

Fuzion 412 (2012)

The Fuzion I[RIGHT] have is a 2012 Fuzion 412, assuming I would want to install a 5000# d-ring what should I expect to see on the underside? Is there ample room to get where the existing d-rings are?

Yea there should be room there to install them.
Just drop the bottom (Coroplast) and then you will see if you have room.

I installed theses in my fuzion http://www.riskracing.com/pages/Lock...port_Page.html

I had to remove the bottom and then drop the gas tank to install but was well worth it for me.

You will have one or two fuel tanks that you may have to drop to get to some of the d-rings. Then you would have to cut your existing ones from the frame as they are welded also. Then you will probably have a problem getting the backing plate for the new tie downs between the floor and the frame.

If you are wanting to add the 5000# d-rings, you will probably have to put them somewhere other than the original location.

The existing d-rings should be more than adequate to hold your bike in place. Just make sure you use a good quality strap and you should be fine. I have found that cheap straps will loosen and cause problems.

Thanks for the feedback, I do not recall how from the surface the existing D-Ring were mounted, it sounds like they are welded. Your remarks regarding the cheaper straps certainly make sense. The tiedowns on the rear of the bikes seems to always loosen up. I had to repaint a saddlebag on one of the bikes. We won't be doing that again.
Thanks

These are what I use and have never had a problem. They are a little pricey but cheaper than repainting. (Trust me I know)
