Outside shower hookup

We just got our Cougar 33SAB. I found a curly blue hose that has a fitting on one end and a threaded fitting on the other end. For the life of me I can't figure out how to attach the quick disconnect end to the outside shower. Any help will be appreciated.

The quick connect end will go into the fitting in the center of the faucet. You have to press the outer circle part of the fitting on the faucet to allow the hose to "plug in", and then press it in again to release the hose. The threaded end is for you to put a hose sprayer or another length of hose on.

Chuckster -- Gave you the procedure, That connection is a real pain, I usually also try rotating that outside sleeve while pushing in. I do not use it that often but every time I fight with it I swear I am going to squirt some silicone lube into that female connection but have yet to do it ???

I can't say it works every time nor can I say it will work for anyone but me, but I find that if the water system is pressurized (pump on or connected to city water) it takes a significant amount of pressure, almost to the point I'm afraid it's going to break, before I can get the hose seated. If I connect it BEFORE I turn on the water pump or connect the city water hose, it seems to "slip into the groove" quite a bit easier.....

Might want to depressurize your water system and see it it'll connect easier.....

I know, I know, if the faucet is turned off, it's supposed to have no pressure on the connector, but......

Our outside shower hook-up had a tag attached which said if you have difficulties attaching the hose to take a small screwdriver and tap the spring loaded center to free it up. I did that on our 28SGS then applied some WD 40 and it has worked evers sense. Hope this helps John&Tweety

Thanks. I found the tag. Tapped it with a small screw driver and it freed right up. Will try some WD. What's the old saying, read the instructions?
