First time winterizing l

I'm a total rookie, but I did tons of research and decided to give the cover a shot. The ONLY reason I'm covering it is because of the sun. I have the TT stored on some property at approximately 7,000 feet. The passenger side is facing dead south and the sun out here is ridiculous. I just don't want everything to get faded. So far I am very happy with the way it is performing. I will update in the spring when I take it off.

I'd recommend the tire covers. Ours is all covered up (tires included to protect from weather and UV). Battery at home hooked to tender.

I got the water anti-freeze and put it in the lines after I blew them out. Then I had the bug to use it again. LOL I don't want to waste the pink stuff so it sits in storage for now. It's a good thing I did that because its in the 20's here today. Who says it doesn't get cold in California LOL

It looks like your tires are sitting on the ground. If that's the situation, you might want to consider cutting some plywood, using 2x10's, or possibly concrete pads under the tires. The ground gets wet and sitting in water/being wet all winter is not "ideal storage" for tires. I'd recommend covering them for the winter. The exposure to ozone and UV is accumulative, and when it can be avoided, especially for "months on end", covering the tires just makes one less thing to worry about.

Tony, looks like you'll catch all the rain and snow installing that cover upside down

Also bill-e, def recommend the the tire covers to save them from the uv. I also would use 2x10 under the tires to keep from sinking and the wood insulates them from the ground too. I also used a large air conditioner cover to go over the tanks and electric jack with a bungee.

How does everyone get their covers so tight? My cover is loose.

It looks like that one is not the right size. You need to get the next smaller one. I just went down and checked mine out this morning for the first time in over a month. It looks exactly like the day I put it on. It is at 7000 feet and we have had two different storms with over a foot in that time frame. The sun is awesome out here, so it melts off right away. I have to admit this forum scared me about covers, but I am completely satisfied. Everything looks great. No signs of wind damage and the sun hasn't killed my graphics. The cover is snug as a bug and I highly recommend it based in the few months I have used it!
