Williamsburg VA

Looking for other alternatives closer to Williamsburg VA . I know about Chippokes campground but are there others across the water that are privately owned that are not advertised. Looking for next June. Thank you for your remarks.

Thanks for the response . We would like to not have to take a ferry to town. Does not have to be full hook up. Would like nice surroundings though.

Depending on your definition of nice surroundings then I would suggest the KOA or American Heritage. They are both just the right distance from everything but still nice and quiet.

rolltide, Howdy;

Are you retired Military? If so check out Naval Supply Center Cheatham
Annex. Just off of 199. They have cabins and possibly some RV sites.

We just stayed at the Thousand Trails campground last week while visiting our son at Ft. Eustis. It is a nice campground with an indoor and outdoor pool, a Jacuzzi and many more amenities. The outer sites are backed up to a highway, so there is some noise.

Just stay away from Rockahock, I will not include all the details, but it was not good.
