Door lock

Looking for a replacement lock for my 2016 Passport Elite 23RB. Need something thats more secure than the factory lock. Got locked in this weekend and had to take apart the lock to free the jammed dead bolt. Looking at something like the RVlock V4 keyless lock, has a key backup. Anyone have something similar or have updated theirs.

Installed an RVLock with remote on our door a couple years ago. Love it! I keep the key in the truck, but I think we have only ever used the remote or buttons on the door itself. And, very easy install.

Does it run off the RV battery or does it need internal batteries?

Make sure your current lock is compatible with the keyless lock. I THOUGHT I had a "standard" Fastec lock on my 2015 Bullet, it was the same width, but it turned out it was a bit taller. and at the time RVLock didn't make a lock that size or an adapter plate so I ended up paying return shipping. "FITS MOST FIFTH WHEEL, TRAVEL TRAILERS & CAMPERS" didn't fit mine.

FlyingAround, they run off four AA batteries generally.

I installed the Ap Products lock and have been very happy with it. Probably my favourite mod.

I installed 2 RVLocks on my unit. I ordered them keyed the same and then I relearned the remotes which came with each lock so button 1 on each was the main and button 2 was the garage door. I think the door to the Fuzion was a hair thicker than what a standard installation would entail. All fitting was correct but to get the lock into the old cutout required that I extend the cutout forward(away from the jam about 1/8th inch with a dremel tool. I used a slow speed so as not to overheat the fiberglass and it wasn’t necessary to extend the inside or even all the way through.

I had the same thing happen to me two summers ago. Was very happy that I keep my toolbox under the bed to take it apart.

I have the V4 installed on the front door of our Fuzion. We don’t use the rear door enough to justify changing that lock. The new lock has definitely been a blessing for convenience since we are full timing. I would recommend signing up for their email as they have sales often. I saved 15% on mine. They also give a military discount.
