Finding 6v GC2 batteries at Costco?

I've tried several times to find information on 6V GC2 batteries via the Costco web site and am thwarted each time. Usually, I just get a vehicle selector. One time (I'm not sure how) I saw a list of about 4 batteries, only one of which was a 6V GC2 deep cycle battery (and it wasn't that great).

How do I find the selection of 6V deep cycle batteries available at Costco?

Does anyone have a link?

Thanks,

Thanks, but that link doesn't go to Costco. Also, the battery to beat is a Duracell with 250 AH (20-hour rate). I thought Costco has several?

I know that. The link came from the Costco website though.
That battery is the only one my Costco stocks. Not sure about yours or others.
If it's the Duracell you are after, then I would look elsewhere.

Here's the COSTCO link: https://www.costco.com/Interstate-6-...100476406.html

If you go to "Costco.com" and click on "shop all departments" then "Tires and Auto", when that page opens, on the top of the right side you'll see, "Interstate Batteries-Car, truck and recreational batteries" Click on that and on the right side you'll see a drawing of several "recreational vehicles". Click on the drawing of the golf cart and it'll open a page to 6 batteries, the GC2 is the top right selection and is the link above.

Thanks, John. That was the one GC2 I found as well. It's only 210 AH (20-hour rate) while the Duracell has 250, but it is only $99 and the Duracell is more like $200. Seems like the Interstate is a better deal. Thanks!

Mark,

Check your specs on the Duracell GC2. Sam's Club website lists the 20 amp rating at 215 (not 250) Even the EGC2 (which is a bigger, more powerful battery) only has a 20 amp rating of 230.

Here's the links to both:

GC2: https://www.samsclub.com/sams/durace...lp_product_1_1
EGC2: https://www.samsclub.com/sams/durace...lp_product_1_3

I'm unclear where you might have got the 20 amp/hr rating of 250 on a 6 volt golf cart battery. To my knowledge, none of the lead acid GC2 size group are rated at 250. Even the AGM type is nowhere near that strong.

Sorry, the Duracell battery is a BCI Group 901: https://www.batteriesplus.com/search?q=SLI6V225S - That's what I was referring to.

It's about $200 and 250 AH 20-hour rate. I'm not really set on GC2 batteries, I just want two deep cycle 6V batteries. However, the Interstate battery you referenced still seems like a better deal at half the price of the Duracell.

OK, now it makes more sense.....

I suppose everyone has their own "ideas" of what's best... I bought two Duracell GC2's at Sam's Club in 2013. They are still in the Cougar and still working great. We just got back from a 5 day extended dry camping trip and I only used the generator for about 2 hours the 3rd day. We didn't "lavishly use battery power" but we didn't "skimp and sit in the dark" either... Typical use, lights at night, about 30-45 minutes of TV (news/weather) each night, radio other than that. Of course the furnace kicked on a couple times each night for about 10 minutes or so, as it was in the high 30's/low 40's every night.

Interstate is supposed to be an "awesome battery" (per their advertising) but I've been very impressed with the way these Duracells are holding up. Total cost at Sams for two is around $200 with tax and core charge.

It seems like the duracell @ Sam's Club is the deal to beat. Now I just need to find someone who is a member to piggy back off of

look around for a FVP battery dealer.. you can pick up a GC2 6v battery for around 70-80 dollars retail. Both the costco (interstate branded) and the FVP are made by Trojan Batteries. Trojan makes their own branded batteries as well but all three use the same internal grids.

Pretty steep price on the Napa battery over the interstate and Duracell options.

You’ll like either Costco or Sams club 6 volt batteries. I have two Costco. Been in rig since 2015 .. great battery and cost effective.

Yeah, it seems like the Costco Interstate battery for $99 is going to be pretty hard to beat. At 210 AH, it's not the best, but sure looks like a great value.

Trojan T105 at Battery Giant

I Just got 2-6 volt batteries (Trojan T105) at 140.00 each they were recommended by several friends that have either TT or Fifth-Wheel. They are a little on the expensive side.
