Lemon requirements

What criteria has to be met for a unit to qualify as a lemon? We have had a lot of minor issue. One was that a window was leaking. We sent it in for warranty work several times and listed this issue several times only to have them say that they could not duplicate the problem. On our latest outing, windows on both left and right side of the camper was leaking and then where the ceiling meets the wall above one of the windows. I don’t think the window is leaking, but it’s probably the roof seam leaking into the wall. Upon closer inspection, a decorative trim across the ceiling had been reattached with finishing nails unlike any of the other trim, indicating that someone had tried to fix this issue before.
I can deal with minor issues, but not major leaks on a new camper!

White Water,

Every state enacts laws for consumer protection. There is no "nationally recognized lemon law". You should contact the Attorney General's office for the state that your trailer is registered in for guidance.

I would suspect that there is little (or no) validity to any guidance that you'll receive on any forum, especially from people who post their experiences in other states. Those are 'nice to know" events that have no legal bearing on what applies to you. The state laws in the state where your trailer is registered would apply to any legal action you might consider.

Get on that roof with some Dicor and check all those seals. Redo anything that may be suspect. Take videos when it’s leaking. Duplicate it at home and tell the dealer how you did it. If internal insulation is wet it should be replaced or dried out thoroughly.

Found this bit on the web:
https://www.dmv.org/la-louisiana/aut.../lemon-law.php

This blurb says the Louisiana lemon law doesn't cover RVs. Looks like recourse if the dealer pretends to not notice the issues is to hire a lawyer and civil court. Since the manufacturer is in Indiana or at least out of state from Louisiana, you are kind of stuck with chasing the dealership to fix it correctly or have them beg Keystone for authorization to start taking things apart to inspect for water damage inside the walls as a warranty issue. Sounds like the dealer doesn't want to spend the time to really investigate and take up the issue on your behalf.

Call Keystone & have them set you up at a different dealership that might know what they're doing or a mobile rv tech.
