New passport

Hi all, i will be picking up my brand new passport grand touring 3320bh this week. Is there any common problems or issues i should look for during my acceptance inspection? Just looking for some insight, coming from a 2011 crossroads slingshot 27rb. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum from Southern MD. Enjoy that new Passport. I have a 2810. I'd say just do a very thorough check of all systems when you pick it up. After you get it home go through and check all your water fittings to make sure they are tight. Particularly the ones that are hidden under bunks etc...

Do a good PDI, here is a link to the sticky on this forum for your reference. Nothing beats a great PDI.

I also just picked up a new passport gt. As stated above definitely check the water fittings when You get it home. Many members have told me to do this. When I did check them about 50% of them were loose. Definitely would have leaked. Enjoy your new passport and happy camping.

Contact Keystone directly to make sure. I don't have a walkable. I had some spec questions in the past and called one of their numbers and they were able to look up the info for me.

I own a Bullet, the Passport's faternal twin, and I'm quite sure both models have non-walkable roofs. The roofs will support you but you need to place either 2x4ft peices of 2" foam board or 3/8 inch plywood on the roof deck before walking on it. Make sure they overlap the rafters to spread out your load. I am only 200 lbs and can feel the pliability of the roof deck when I stand between rafters. I think the decking is 1/4 inch plywood or OSB. Not much to support a heavy load.

If you contact Keystone be sure to include your VIN. Did the same for my 2013 Cougar 24RKSWE and it is a "walkable roof" as I was told. Not all are the same.

A thorough PDI should include energizing/pressurizing all systems. Things like loose water connections should be obvious during the inspection. I suggest taking say the forum PDI list and customize it to you rig including discrepancies reported by others (internet, forums, etc)

As far as walkable roofs, there have been previous posts on this topic, Try searching the forum, If a recall from the posts, in general, if rig came with a ladder than it was meant to climb up upon the roof (not a decoration or added extra weight to balance the rig). Not equipped with a ladder roof not walk-able.

As stated previously best to call Keystone with VIN number. Always interesting conversations, just prepare yourself ahead a time

The problem several of us have seen with water connections is they don't leak during PDI. After some vibrations from travel some connections have worked loose enough to leak because they weren't tight enough in the beginning.

Well i just got a response from keystone. They said
Because my unit was manufactured in Indiana, that it is a non walkable roof.

Also, just had some good rain here. All of my small slider windows are leaking from the top tracks. And all three slides have a small amount of water coming from underneath them (slides closed up).

I'd take it back in. Sounds like some seals aren't where they are supposed to be or at a minimum aren't making the correct amount of contact. Hope it's an easy and quick fix.
