Power jack

Hi guys
I was just wondering if anyone has upgraded to a power jack for the tongue of there trailer. I'm contemplating if I should upgrade or not. If it is worth the money or not. I thinking it could just be something else to go wrong. I just purchased a 2017 passport 2670. Any input would be great.

I moved my Jack Quick 3500 over from my previous rig to my current TT. While I didn't mind my arms getting a work out, I like an electric much better. It's hard to sweat when you are just pushing a button. There are a lot of good reviews on the Husky 3500 and 4500. Either of these would work for you.

I installed a Bighorn electric tongue jack on my 2013 Cougar. This jack is totally waterproof which is something to consider. Some of the lower end ones are not. It makes hooking up, unhooking and levelling a breeze. Most all of the electric jacks have manual mode should you lose power. Check out the Bighorn on Amazon. Very good value for the money.

I wouldn't have anything else. I love camping but not working that hard. Depending on what kind of stabilizer you have, I would get a socket for my electric drill to raise and lower them. Makes a world of difference.

Do it. A power tongue jack is the ONLY way to raise/lower the tongue of an RV of any size.

I previously had a 7' x 16' enclosed trailer with quite a lot of tongue weight and a manual (hand crank) jack. It really wasn't a big deal because I didn't need a weight distribution hitch for it, and bottom line, it didn't really matter if it was perfectly level or not. I now have a 34 1/2 foot Toy Hauler and the advertised tongue weight is 1350 lb. This one came with an electric tongue jack and I have to say....."Thank Goodness". I can say with 100% certainty, if it wouldn't have had an electric tongue jack when I bought it, it would have been the very first thing that I bought for it. Of course, having a very level camping trailer is a lot more important that having a perfectly level enclosed trailer with no slide outs, refrigerator, beds, etc.

Crank it up to back under.
Crank it down to connect to the ball.
Crank it up to install load bars.
Crank it down to drive off.

Only took one trip and I bought a Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack from Etrailer.
Best $178.00 I've spent so far.

One trailer did not come with one so as part of the deal I had them install one, current trailer came with one. Well worth it, especially those really hot days.

Our Premier came with an electric jack, can't imagine not having it.

I bought one on amazon for our 2015 bullet and think it was probably the best mod. I've made to it so far.

I think they are well worth the money. I got a Bulldog 3500 for a coachman I had and never put it on .. but did so with my Cougar.. what a difference that makes..At the time I got my Bulldog, it had really high ratings, and that is why I went with that model..Make sure and keep your hand crank jack in case you trade..you can then just transfer from one trlr to the other..

I don't know if anyone noticed but I think this is the only group of posts in a while that everyone agreed. Power jack is the way to go.

Cardio is good, but in rain? snow? mud? 15 degree weather? Naw, for me I'll take the electric jack - we love ours Anyway, I finally got to the point that my "pulsing biceps" were more of a distraction than a plus....pushing the "button" seemed so......."cool", and handy JMHO

I had one on my old trailer, bought a new trailer last summer which did NOT have the electric jack. Went out 2 weekends before I bought it and installed it.
