Turn off booster with KeyTV

Had to run the cable through my seals and directly to the TVas the park we were at had digital cable. The park said for the cable to work, we needed to turn off our booster which isn't possible with the KeyTV module. Anyone figured out how to turn off the booster? Or are you stuck running cable directly to your TVs?

From my understanding, the KeyTV module is specifically designed not to apply the booster to the external cable input. Is the cable between the external input and the module screwed into the correct port on the module?

There is no booster with KeyTV.

The concept of KeyTV, as far as I know, is that it monitors frequencies on the TV network of cables,

1. If it detects cable frequencies, it allows it to go to your TV, you then perform a scan to find the channels offered.
2. If it detects Sat frequencies, it allows it to go to your STB
3. If it detects Over the Air frequencies, it allows it to go to your TV, you then perform a scan to find the channels offered.

There is, indeed, a booster, there is just no button for it:

A color-coded coax cable runs from the KeyTV box to each TV location with no splitters or jumpers to degrade the signal. Inside and outside connection points are clearly labeled. There’s no need for a “booster button” as KeyTV senses the signal source and automatically boosts the over-the-air signal.

The booster boosts signals arriving on specific ports, such as the rig antenna, and not on other specific ports, such as satellite or camp cable. To make this all work right, you have to make sure you don't have the wrong cable screwed into the wrong connector.

KeyTv is less than a year old and not very well known yet. I have had no issues with park cable. Just make sure the cable is plugged into the right spot on the outdoor KeyTv box and the tv is connected to the right spot on the wall plate.

I have no problems with it. Just like before a channel scan is required. I've had good reception from both cable and air.

The term “booster” is really not correct. You aren’t turning on a booster with KeyTV or older style OTA antenna ... you are turning on 12 volts DC to OTA amplified TV antenna... that’s all and nothing more

The KeyTV is supposed to “sense” the presence of a cable tv input signal when hooked into a park cable TV connection and if no cable is connected then the OTA antenna is active ... it’s a gain antenna
That needs 12 volts DC to be active and work.

I cant seem to pick up any channels over the air
Tried at campground where we have had no trouble in past picking up channels also tried at home out in wide open and still no luck
Any suggestions
