26RBI hitch upgrade

Love my new trailer now even more, bought a Hensley Arrow to attach it to the truck and wow, what a difference it made over using the Reese Straight Line, never felt a waggle of the tail on I81 during our trip. If I ever move to a 3/4 ton the hitch will diffidently go with me

Nice rig! Yep, those were some of the sentiments I had when I hitched up for our first trip using the Hensley Arrow last year. I came from a Blue Ox Sway Pro, which was the reason for my upgrade. Towing through a wind storm with uncontrollable sway just about stuck a fork in my towing activities. The Hensley solved it all and provides a completely relaxed towing experience. Lateral trailer sway is non-existence in all driving conditions.

For kicks and giggles, I reverted back to the Blue Ox for 1 trip when I upgraded TVs to a 3/4 ton RAM megacab. Instantly, the 'sway control' hitch brought back white knuckle memories. I was dumbfounded as I assumed the 160 inch wheelbase of my new 3/4 ton truck would inherently curtail trailer sway. My former Yukon XL Denali was limited to 130 inches from axle to axle. The tail was wagging again when passing trucks of any substantial size. The Blue Ox attempted to control it but you could still feel it in the steering wheel.

With the HA, that feeling never exists. Lateral forces on the sides of the trailer are carried over the entire rig, keeping the trailer in perfect alighnment with the TV. There is never a sway condition. We're on our second long distant trip down to Florida since the Hensley purchase and my DW has been in the driver's seat for about as many miles as I have, even over the Smoky's. We almost forget we're towing a 35 foot travel trailer.

Again, you really have to pull with a Hensley in order to understand how well it works.

And yes, definitely keep your Hensley for your future TV. Hensley has a lifetime warranty on parts and will exchange out the hitch bar (stinger/shank) in order to accommodate the different height of the receiver hitch on your new TV.
