Air conditioners
I'm looking for recommendations on an air conditioner to install in the front bedroom of our 2017 Keystone Cougar 336BH... It came wired for one there... What did they install there as optional equipment?

I put Coleman Mach III's on my front bedroom and the garage of my toy hauler. It came with one in the living area and they are adequate but since I keep it in Florida, more is better. May as well match what you already have if you're happy with it.

What do you have as the OEM AC? I would highly recommend installing a 2nd AC of the same brand to keep things simple which is what I've always seen dealers do.

Danny is right. If you have a dual zone thermostat then you will have to use the same brand. If not, then I would go with a Coleman Mach series.
At that point you need to know if the bedroom is ducted or not as that will help you get the right configuration, and if your thermostat isn’t dual zone, you’ll need to determine if there is thermostat wiring in the bedroom wall or will you need a unit with plenum controls.
A little investigating on your part will help us help you. Just take the trim ring off the inside of the bedroom vent and tell us what you find.

OEM looks like a Diametic Brisk II Ducted controlled by a solitary single-zone thermostat, located below the control center panel. Located near the front bedroom ceiling vent is a ceiling outlet that is marked as "This Air Conditioning Circiit is rated for 110-125 volt, 60hz..."
From just looking at it, I couldn't tell your if you the existing rear unit is rated at 1350 or 1500...
1) So since: "factory prewired A/C power circuit" is labeled as this outlet box... That implies that this is the front A/C located in the power distrtibution/breaker panel, and is constant feed, controlled by that 20 amp breaker...
2) Being there is no three- wire set of thermostat control wires (for thermostatic control) marked any where on the front bedroom ceiling... Not sure if the front A/C prewiring on this model, includes thermostatic control of a Front A/C Unit...
3) No idea if there are duct tie-ins or thermostat control wiring that might be revealed (or not there) when the front vent housing is removed, so about 80% sure the choice of type might be a ductless type with local temp control.

Years ago, there was no "pre-wiring" for any air conditioner system,
Then, some manufacturers added a 12 ga ROMEX cable, disconnected on both ends, through the roof structure and called it, "Prewired for a first A/C.
When A/C's became more or less standard equipment, they started "prewiring for a second A/C and Standard "primary A/C" in all units.
Then the competition, a couple years later, added a circuit breaker and connected one end.
Then the competition, a couple more years later, added thermostat wiring (when wall thermostats started being used). Prior to that, all RV A/C's had ceiling panel controls.
Then with the advent of "HVAC management systems" in RV's, they added thermistor support, intercontrol features and a host of other "components/parts" to support intercoupling of both the old and the new A/C components.
As things evolved, the capacity to interconnect complementary components made the addition, "seamless" if using the correct parts... With most companies, there's precious little "across all brands connectivity"...
That means, if you want it to work like it's from the factory, you need to use the same brand components as what's already installed, or the addition will essentially be a "stand alone A/C" with no ability to 'talk to or work with" what's already on the roof.....

Might depend on whether or not you have In-Command, and if you want it to interface. We looked at the same unit w/o front A/C, and label specified what A/C would be required. We bought the one with it already installed. Rear and front are both Dometic Brisk II, front one is 13,500 and rear is 15,000.
Both units work thru In-Command control panel/app and both are tied into ceiling ducting.

There are a few variables as already stated above. But keep in mind that you might want a low profile unit for the front a/c.
Whatever you decide on, be sure to remeasure your height requirements for overhead clearances, as this will undoubtedly change.
