Time to dewinterize!

I just made reservations for one night in Jacksonville,Fl. and four nights in Big Pine Key and another night in Jacksonville for my return trip home. Reservations are for Pecan Park RV Resort in Jacksonville and Sunshine RV Resort and Marina in Big Pine Key. Does anybody have any experience with these locations?

davidjsimons, Howdy;

When I went through my first divorce, she was in Jacksonville,
Fl. and I was in Va. Beach, Va. That was a 12 hour drive in 1978,
Before I got married to her, I was stationed in Jacksonville, and
commuted to Ft. Lauderdale to help a friend with his repo business.
That was at least a 6 hour drive and getting to Key West was always
a crap shoot, Never heard of anyone making it from one end to the other
without having to wait for a bridge to get repaired. Should take, on a good
day, maybe 4 or 5 hours. Just something to consider. It's alot more Inter-
State then when I was there but the road to the Keys is still US #1... Plan for some delays...

Believe it or not, I've actually run from Richmond to Key West straight through in 17 hours and forty minutes, but that was straight through and not towing. I spent the night, got up the next morning, hooked to a 26' boat and twenty-three hours later was at Windmill Pt. Virginia. You do offer a good point though. I am sure the traffic is worse these days as well. I don't think I ever want to see that much of a windshield in such a short period of time anytime soon. I was trying to get down there and out ahead of a hurricane.
