2012 Yukon XL 2500 - When towing, 6mpg (Colorado, Climbing, with headwind), average 10 MPG.... 15 MPG otherwise.

2012 F350 - 10-12 mpg towing - 17 to 18 not towing.

I've got a lifted LB CC 2wd '01 Duramax with 285 tires. With the cruise set at 68-70 I get an honest 22mpg (checked with corrected odometer/first click fuel shut off and distance verified by GPS). I just added a +50hp tow/economy tune and many say that this very likely will increase a mileage another mpg or so. Towing, I'm not sure on the mileage there but will check the next time we head out as I have the new to us 5er now!

Tow average = 10mpg
Non tow highway average = 17mpg
However, we consistently travel at 60mph.

Well I will drop in here, hand calculate every tank!

11.5 to 13 Towing 11.5K with 3.55's at 60-65 mph.
13 to 15 City
20 mpg @ 65 highway.

Dumped an 88 F250 460 that couldn't do better than 10 mpg, and as bad as 6 mpg.
Yes this Diesel is paying for it's self in fuel mileage and towing power.

Put the Prius in the back of the ford and double your mileage.

Mileage

Taking it easy at 95Km/hr up to 32 miles per Imperial gallon. Towing usually about 16 -20 miles per Imperial gallon. Imperial gallon is 160 fluid ounces. U.S gallon is 128 ounces. 5.9 Cummins, six speed cold air box, chip and modified exhaust.

"Towing usually about 16-20 miles per Imperial gallon". According to my math (which is almost always wrong) that would work out to roughly 13 - 16 miles per US gallon when towing. If you are getting that kind of mileage when towing, consider yourself lucky or else you are spending the bulk of your towing time in Saskatchewan.

Just what the Dr. ordered..... Metric distance mixed with Imperial fluids,
to figure US Standard distance equivilant.....

I understand them all just not in the same sentence ...
So what you are basicly saying is;
While traveling at about 55 MPH everytime you burn 4 Imp. gal's. You've
burned 5 US Gal. and your avg. MPG is what Festus2 stated... Roughly 20%
less then what you get using .... OR you get approx. 25.92 to 32.4 KPIG...

LOL, LOL, LOL
