15" stock wheels

Has anyone who has put "E" rated tires on thier stock 15" wheels actually had the wheels bow up? I looked at the specs for the wheels and it is 2800lb at 65psi. E tires are typically 3500lb at 80psi.

If you feel safe with a 23% overload, go for it.

Several posters on rv.net have reported blowing the welds such that air leaked out. You might do a search there. Not read of any actually blowing up, but I suppose it is possible.

Never happoened to me personally, but I don't overload anything that I am of.

I agree, I would not personally do it, but just seeing if anyone had personal experience with it.

The people who have upgraded to 16" rims with 235/80/16, how much room do you have between your axle's on a triple? with my stock tires i have 4 3/4" between. with 16's I would roughly have 1 1/2". not sure if it is ok to be that close.
