I relocated the thermostat in our 2011 Avelanche 340TG from the bedroom into the living area. We normally sleep with our bedroom door closed and am about to install a 2nd AC/heater in the bedroom. I didn't want the 2nd AC affecting the thermostat for the rest of the rv.
I bought a piece of 8 conductor (only 6 are needed) thermostat wire, and drilled a hole thru the bottom cornor of the cabinet into the wall that the thremostat was mounted on in the bedroom. I ran the 8 conductor wire thru the hole I drilled into the cabinet. I spliced the 6 wires I needed into the existing thermostat wiring. I also drilled a hole in the bottom cornor of the cabinet to run the 8 conductor wiring into the wall to the new location. Then just wired up the thermostat and attached to the wall. I also installed a 'blank' cover over the original hole the factory had in the wall.
