New Member - checking in
Hi All,
My wife and I just bought a 2020 Fuzion 419 and will be having it moved to the RV park for us (will get a truck several months later). We intend to go full time for at least 2 years mostly staying in the same park with some travel. I've lived in a motor coach before for 6 months waiting for a house to be built but this will be my wife's first time. We also have a 9 month old baby boy. Any advice for us RV newbies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum
Congrats on your new purchase. Lots of good people and loads of great information here. I would definitely make sure EVERYTHING in the trailer works BEFORE you have it delivered. That way there shouldn't be any surprises. Warranty work may be non existent from the selling dealer once its parked.

Thank you!
Thank you. We did walk through twice before signing and made sure everything was working.
Quick question about setting up: Should we use a 2x8 under the tires as well as under the leveling jacks?

Welcome aboard! I don't see any reason to put blocks under the tires.

I agree if the trailer is parked on concrete pad. If its in gravel, you might want to use pads under the leveling legs.

Welcome , as far as boards under the tires that would depend on the conditions where they are setting. Concrete or packed stone no but if it's an area that doesn't drain well with a lot of standing water for 6 months I would.

Hi there and welcome to the forum!
As others have stated, no need to place boards or blocks under the tires is really not necessary, unless the ground is soft.
We always place one or two of the square orange blocks under each jack, mainly to reduce the length of the distance the jack has to extend to do its job.
Enjoy your new Fuzion!
Be safe,
Gary

Congrats and welcome to the forum from Northern Idaho. ENJOY
Don't know if it is true but have heard when parking on asphalt that some type of block/barrier should be used.

I've had my trucks/cars parked on concrete for many decades. I've had trailers parked on asphalt for many decades . I've never had any issue with tire degradation. Thinking about it logically, we drive on those surfaces and park on those surfaces so this is just a guess here but I'm guessing the tire manufacturers account for this when formulating their tire compounds.
