Most common power source for the wireless camera's is the rear running lights. You might have to have the trailer plugged into the TV and the lights on, or if the battery is charged, go to the trailer side of the 7 way plug. Hold it in your hand so the connectors are facing you and the raised portion that goes into the truck plug is at the top. Jumper the two top connectors and the running lights should come on, and power the camera. Did you get any type of manual with the camera? If not here is a link to the Garmin website:

Interesting, was this factory installed?? Just curious. Just looked around and found at least a 4 part discussion on youtube. "GARMIN BC 20". You never mentioned if it ever worked? Along with the normal power to the camera/transmitter and the power to the receiver, the Garmin needs to be paired with the transmitter/receiver. Anyway I would suggest you view these youtube videos. Here is link to the first one

If you go to the Keystone website http://www.keystonerv.com/raptor/

scroll down to the OPTIONS, you'll see that the GARMIN Backup Camera with Navigation is optional on the RAPTOR, not standard equipment. It's listed 3rd from the bottom in the options list.

I believe it was also optional on the 2014 models and wasn't available in 2013. To the best of my knowledge, it has never been "standard equipment" on any RAPTOR.

Thanks John

Pockets empty, so I guess have not looked past 2013

I am curious if installed at factory wonder if they ran a separate 12VDC line up into the roof rather than taping into a light near the roof line which is done for installations after the fact. Still amazes me today that these garages inside have no 12VDC outlet back there

No problem, glad to help clarify.

As for the 12 VDC power source, I don't have any idea how Keystone wired it in. My guess would be a dedicated source, but with the camera being that close to the top running lights, they may have tapped into the center top light thinking it would only need power when being towed. Or, on the other hand, as "history" tells us, they may have done both, or even ????? It's hard to say with any RV manufacturer just what gets done with optional equipment since it's not a part of the "standard build"

Functionality depends how camera is powered, if camera powered (12VDC) from backup light then camera on only when backup light on. On the other hand if wired from running lights, on when running lights turned on. Powered right off battery via key switch, camera on as soon as you turn on key.

As a rule, all the wireless cameras I have seen have been powered from a clearance light. Closest source since the camera is at the top center.

I would start by removing the top center clearance light. That way your not making any un wanted holes.

I wired my transmitter to the front passenger side running lamp on my carbon 357. Ran the 50 ft extension cable to the back along the I beam. Transmitter wouldn't work when grounded to the frame. Had to tap both sides of running lamp wires. Transmitter screwed into wood floor above propane tanks.

major105bc: Did you use a license plate camera or mount another camera low? If camera mounted roof rear center, how did you get the coax up to the roof. Was this also the Garmin?

spacetrucker: Which wire cut off? Apparently this never worked? If this was an option that you ordered and was factory installed, why is it not covered under your one year warranty?

Spacetrucker, what year is the trailer and where did you purchase it at, new or used. Did you ever try dealing with a dealer not Keystone. Just thinking maybe the dealer who sold it and installed the camera might help? If you keep a lawyer on retainer as I do give him a call and wait a year or two to see the end of this case.

Can you reach the wire that was cut off? If so, you can tie a new wire to the existing one, then use the existing wire to pull the new wire through the wall.
I was able to do this in our bathroom to add a wall switch for the vent fan. Couldn't get a fish tape to go around the a/c duct. Tied two wires to the original wire then pulled them trough and then removed the original wire.

Was this a factory installed option, if so, that would be covered under your warranty! Now if installed afterward by ??? Keystone will not address that. Is this Dealer where you purchased the unit? Never heard a Qualified dealer saving they can not fix it. If did not buy it from there, I could believe anything as an excuse not to work on it.

It's the Garmin BC-20. I mounted to the frame just above the license plate light using self tapping screws.
