Toy Hauler Wish List
When we started looking at 5th wheels, we originally wanted a toy hauler, but very quickly realized the interiors were not what we wanted. They all seemed very "industrial" inside! We liked the size of the Cougar 325SRX but the interior put us off and we bought our Montana.
So - if anybody at Keystone is listening, we want a toy hauler with the interior finish of the Montana. About 36ft long, with a garage area large enough for one or two motorcycles. We don't need fuel tanks, we don't need a workshop. We want carpeted floors, a table to eat at (dinette is O.K., but do not want to sit on the sofa to eat), decent entertainment system, reasonable kitchen/counter space. 3 slides are good. King sized bed and good storage. Only needs to sleep two regularly, but maybe two more on odd occasions (sofa bed?). The loft in the Cougar was O.K. too.
How about it?

limey,
Unfortunatley, nobody at Keystone is a member of this forum (in any official capacity) and your post, as good as it is, is only falling on the eyes of owners of Keystone RV's and those who are interested in this forum. If you want your really good ideas to be heard by Keystone management, you'd be better off going to the Keystone website, clicking on the "contact us" button and filling out the form. If you simply cut and paste your post to that form, the people at Keystone will be assured of receiving it.
Here's the link to the website contact form:

I too have some of these same wishes. It's not a trailer or Keystone but the Damon Outlaw 37md is where I'm looking to go next. Plusher, plenty of storage, and more year round use. Love my Outback but it's just not made for below 30f.

Those are a lot of the reasons we are looking at Spartan industries. Their first unit was really well thought out and finished. Lights on the side of the slide out sofa really helped. I will say the new fuzion 341 was impressive through.

Hmmm, have you checked out the new Carbon line. Many things you describe can be found there. We just purchased the Carbon 327 and LOVE the interior!

Toy Hauler Wish List
Missing the 1/2 bath for us. The 377 is close but not sure about the island kitchen.

I agree that island takes A LOT of kitchen cabinet space away in the 377. That is why we went with the 327. Having the 1/2 bath in the back wasn't that important since its going to be 90% of the time just the 2 of us.

Maxx1963 - very close! In fact, if that had been available at the time, we would probably have gone for it! Still does not have a lot of carpet in the living area, but it does fit most of the requirements. Interesting that it seems they are discontinuing it!

what you describe to me is why I bought the 325srx. Has a garage- but not a black leather interior with racing stripes. (wife did not like)
We use it as a toy hauler to racing dirt bikes- then roll out a carpet in the garage- add a futon, and its a spare bed room/ game room for the kids on family vacations.
Its worked out great so far. But I guess the market is not calling for it much, as there are not many like the 325srx (now discontinued ).

Have you looked at some of the higher end Toy Haulers? Our Fuzion 390 is pretty much what you are asking for. Higher end components, not industrial at all and tons of fun. It does have fuel tanks, but you dont need to use them

My Raptor can carry two motorcycles, has a snap in carpet, the lower electric bunk can be quickly changed into a dinette. I have a fuel station, but don't really use other than to consider it extra fuel for the generator.

We bought a raptor because it not at all decorated for racing. We use our garage for storage, washer-dryer, Bed lowers to be dinette, second bedroom.

I feel like my Fuzion 315 comes close to meeting your requirements. It comes with carpet to roll out in the garage and two queen beds on the happy jack system. The lower bed changes into opposing couches and a free standing table turns it into a dinette. We have snow birded in it for the last two winters and it works well for us.

I just want to see Keystone offer a custom length garage to which the entire trailer can go above 40'. So if the 12' garage is a 40 footer, then you could add garage feet in 2 foot intervals. I for one would like a 20' garage so my trailer would be 48'. There is a lot of voodoo about the legal limit of trailer lengths but there is no such max length. All urban legend. Stay under 53' and you are fine.

I believe they keep the length down for weight purposes and for towing stability. The longer the trailer, the longer the wheel base of the TV needs to be to maintain trailer/TV stability. If they made trailers longer, you would have to go to a commercial grade extended wheel base truck which would not be practical for the average buyer. There would not be enough customer base to be worth their while.

Seems to me, if you keep your "wishes" secret from the people who make them, they'll never come true. Talking to owners and lookers considering buying won't get your "53 footer" any closer to the drawing boards. Just sayin'

This: http://www.keystonerv.com/mountainee...t/model-mobile
is on the drawing boards to be replaced by this Summer, I'm told. If you want to see the updated Master and Living rooms, I hear they'll be similar to this: http://www.keystonerv.com/mountainee...w/model-mobile
I've also been told that the redesign will have a proper full-size ramp door in the back. They have offered a roll-down carpet in previous models.
I am ordering it as soon as my dealer can take the down payment and write me a contract.
