WOW, ugly camping spot

How could you FORCE your family to camp at this horrible site?! Mountains obstructing your view of the surrounding towns, UGH! Running ponds make you want to use the bathroom all of the time! Probably very bad weather, like mid 70's...horrible, just horrible!

Believe it or not, we actually have scenic areas in north Georgia that look like that. Would love to head west (north west) Oregon and Washington, southern Canada on a two month journey. Love those HUGE trees out there. One thing we do NOT have east are those drop dead beaches. A few years ago, motorcycled Highway 1 all the way from San Diego to northern California.

What's stopping us as retirees: grandkids 1 mile away, ages 3 and 5.
Last winter was AZ, this year closer to home: Florida. (maybe) or may leave the RV on spot in north Georgia and fly to Italy for 3 weeks....so many choices, decisions, decisions...

Winter time they close Higway 20 off I 5. You have to drive around wenatchee.

How would you compare river bend rv park to the koa down the road from there? The dw and I are going to Winthrop in two weeks and I am trying to decide between the two. Thanks for your input.

To camp on the water river bend is the only one in the area with full hookups. its privately owned and very clean. downside is quite time is at 10pm. we are not loud by any means but if the owner sees you at a fire after 10 she will make sure you know its quite time. KOA is very nice but you are three rows from the river and it is a dirt road. you always get the guy speeding through kicking up dust. they are great to water the roads to keep dust down as much as possible. we stayed here many times but enjoy river bend because of the river front. I'll post pictures of both places on this thread.

Oh Like this one?

I was thinking it might be a Gadsden, but the color looked off a bit.
