air conditioner modifications

Is it possible to retro-fit the bedroom a/c so is dumps into the duct work from the main a/c.... The bedroom is and ICE BOX and the living area not so much.... thinking this would double the flow to the main level and add to the cooling

The AC has 2 parts, the upper on the roof with most of the magic, and the lower on the inside. There are 2 styles of lowers, ducted and non-ducted. At minimum you would have to locate and install the ducted lower, as well as new ducting to attach it to the nearest factory ductwork.

Your ducting is calculated for so much CFM. If you try to connect another units air flow to it, it will cause problems to both units. Think of it as a 5 lb sack, and you are trying to stuff 10lb into it - won't work. The original unit now can push less air than designed, which causes less air flow across the evaporator, which will start iceing over, causing more problems than you want. Same with your other unit. If your main is not keeping up, than may be an issue with it.
