Smile Hello

Hello,

We just got back from our maiden voyage with our 2021 Bullet 243bhs. That I tow with a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 that my family has lovingly named "The Beast". We upgraded from a Wildwood FSX 207bh. The new camper towed just fine.

Everything went well and we had a great time. Just some minor things to check on. The black tank flush didn't work and the monitor never got came off "E". I am going to look and see if the check valve was installed backwards before our next trip. Oh, and the dog destroyed the screen. Not the first time I'll have to repair one of those.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum!

The check valve is most likely the issue with the black tank flush, so you are right on the money to check that.

Our dogs had a good time with our screen as well, so after replacing the screen material, I installed a brace across the middle, so they now see that and problem solved.

Enjoy your travels with that new Bullet!

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum : wlcm:

Congrats on your new purchase. Odds are the rinser is plumbed backwards and the black tank sensors lost ground connection.

Sounds like the typical tank senors! Might have a loose wire, but more likely they are the typical sensors & will read empty today & from now on & no matter what you do will change it.

Congrats on your new camper and hope you have many successful journies.

Just curious, how did you get a 2004 Chevy Suburban 2500? 2500's are all "Fleet" vehicles, and not for sale to individuals, but only corporations or businesses. They are very hard to get for the average Joe on the street. Hang on to that Suburban forever if you can. You have a rarity there.

Welcome!

One friend put decorative metal from Home Depot on their screen door. Another covered whole screen door with clear plexiglass so they can leave door open with A/C on - so there are a couple solutions for you!

Nice looking setup in pic!

I believe the 3/4 ton (2500) Suburban was an option back then. I don't think it became a fleet only thing until much later...perhaps 2012+ or later.

I believe there was even a 1-ton (3500) option made for government purchase...now that would be a nice find!

We bought a metal ceiling tile from lowes it fits the bottom portion of the screen door perfectly. We only had to cut a little piece out for the door latch.we used that to keep the grand Daughter from falling through the screen door.it actually has a design on it so it look like original equipment.
