monthly rate

We are going to be in the Gettysburg Pa. area around the middle of june and plan on visiting the DC area as well. We have checked several campgrounds and the rates are high, any suggestions for a good place to stay. We have a 40' 5th wheel and no kids, we need full hookups but don't care about all the other stuff. Don't hike or canoe or ride horses or any of that. Just love to site see and ride the bike in the mountains. Thanks for any suggestions George

Get a passport america membership and you can get 50% off Sun-Thur at this campground.

Make sure to check and see IF the CG allows more than 3 nights or 7 nights using any discount.

We have stayed places there the Good Sam was good for 2-3 nights and Passport America may only be good 2-3 nights, maybe a week..

So when asking for a months stay see IF you can combine your discounts with multiple clubs and maybe when that is exhausted get a discount for the remaining weeks if needed.

Not many mom/pop operations get people staying a month unless they are living there.

Been to Gettysburg a couple of times. In season expect to pay close to $50 per day. We stayed at Artillary Ridge CG, it's a nice park close to the battlefield & downtown GB. The back part of the park has horse stables & the black flys that are attracted to them. If you decide to stay there make a reservation & make it for the front of the park near the office.
