Frame & tongue connection

Has anyone ever crawled under their TT and looked at how the tongue assembly is welded to the frame? It doesn't look like there is much welding holding those two assemblies together. The tongue is under the frame and appears to have four basic contact patches: two on each side, where the left and right sides of the tongue touch the box of the frame. (Think of a rectangle laying on top of a triangle -- without the third side.) On bigger TT's, and the bigger tongue weights, has anyone seen/heard/experienced any issues? The two contact patches on the end of the tongue (on the sides of the frame) are holding all the weight.
