any recomendations Wichita Falls TX ?

I am trying to visit with an old friend. She lives in Lewisville TX. My travels take me through Wichita Falls. Any recommendations on a place in that area. Don't want to get too close to DFW area. Don't like traffic.

Have you considered Wagonmaster in Sanger. Closer than Wichita Falls, outside of traffic and construction, and it has Alpacas!

lifecamper,

We sometimes stay in Wichita Falls on our annual trek to Indiana to visit family... have stayed at Wichita Falls RV Park
several times, and also Lake Arrowhead State Park.

Wichita Falls RV is on the west side of town [on Branch Hwy 277/Seymour Hwy]; a Good Sam park.
If arriving via U.S. Hwy 287, you can take Blvd 11/Beverly Loop 'South' to Branch Hwy 277, and avoid town while towing

The State Park is nice, but about 15 miles outside of town & may not be "convenient" depending on your plans. Last time
we were there, the lake was *extremely low* due to drought. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/state-parks/lake-arrowhead

Hope this helps,
Terri, the Chevy co-pilot

Called Wagon Master RV in Sanger and got a reservation for 10/23 to 10/30. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll go South from there.

Life camper -

Construction starts at US 380 on south. It's a mess. If your friend lives in Flower Mound or Highland Village, you might want to bail at Teasely Lane and take FM 2499 south. If you need more info, send me a PM. Just drive careful, watch for lane changes, leave the RV at Wagonmaster, and keep a wary eye on the road idiots.
