wall mount tv in bedroom

Has anyone got any info on this? I'm going to put a mount up that has the removable arm from the base so when we are traveling the arm and tv comes off and gets stowed away so it doesn't bounce around on the wall. The tv only weighs 9 lbs so it won't take a lot to hold it up there. I know there is supposed to be a reinforced piece in the wall up by the plug outlet and the antenna jack up the wall towards the celling. The big question is how big is this reinforced area. Would sure hate to miss it and have to put bolts washers and nuts on the outside........LOL.

Find stud and use self tapping screws . Dealer couldn't tell me what size the board was in the wall so I went with the stud . Worked great

We did what you are doing in our previous reailer but it was an interior wall. The mount had 2 bolts that were vertical so they went in the same stud. Lifted the tv off while closing up and set it in the center of the bed, it did just fine there. Good luck.

Ours had a sticker on the wall that said LCD Mounting location - roughly 6ft from the floor. But if you pushed on the wall panel you could feel there was backing all around where the sticker was almost clear to the ceiling. I'm guessing it is just plywood put in between the studs on the interior wall. We also have a quick release mount for a little 21" tv mounted almost at ceiling height and it seems to hold just fine.

Was an easy job.....took a big needle and a pair of vise grips and poked two small holes then I hit the reinforced piece. From were the bedroom window is there is a stud there (mine our aluminum) towards the rear of the trailer to what is my bathroom wall (apprx 24") and from the ceiling down about 18" is that piece of reinforced board in the wall. Hope this helps anyone else who want to give this a try......truly a ten minute job in ten minutes....and the wife is know happy too...
