Vent fan in kitchen on 2015 outback 312
Hello! I just upgraded from a hybrid camper to the 2015 outback 312bh. When I got home and was poking around a little more I noticed controls for the ceiling exhaust fan mounted on the walls above the thermostat. I understand this rubs off 12v power, but when I tried to use the controls nothing happened.
Does the control pad run off battery that may need to be changed or is there something else I’m missing?
It didn’t work straight off the battery or when hooked to power.

It should just run off your 12v system. Have you checked for a blown fuse?

Maybe it is thermostatically controlled and it wasn't warm enough for it to come on. Was the vent cover open?

I did check for blown fuses, all were good.
The fan is closed, the fan doesn’t respond to any of the buttons being pushed.

If it’s a Fantastic fan, they still have a glass fuse up at the fan.

What do you mean the fan is closed? The fan mght not run if the vent is closed, some have an interlock that requires the vent cover to be opened.

Fantastic brand is like that, MaxAir will run with lid closed. Fantastic brand has a 2A glass fuse in the fan housing, easily accessible.

The fan fuse most likely will be in your 120/12 volt power control panel. If not failed, then you may need that meter to check for power at the fan as it may be on a ceiling light circuit. Or that somewhat confusing at first wall controller may have a problem. Also, when you turn the fan on, make sure that you run the temp control up or down. Maxxair has a set of instructions on line if Keystone/dealer didn't supply them (and where I 'found' ours)
