Metal Valve Stems
I am going to have metal valve stems installed on my Passport 2400bh steel rims. These are to support the TPMS system I have. Does anyone have a recommendation on which ones to buy? Don't know if any one is better than the others but someones opinion with experience will help. I will order them from Amazon. Thanks

Mine had metal stems on it from the factory but I replaced them anyway when I got new tires recently. After reading some here I went with the "Ford" Haltec N-1600. Pleased with them so far. Got them for $2.70 a piece here http://yourtireshopsupply.com/produc...-valve-han1600 but their website appears to be broken at the moment. There are others selling them for around $4 each.

I second the "Ford" Haltec N-1600. they work well on both my aluminum and steel spare wheel.
It is the only metal valve stem that controls the amount of seal compression while achieving metal to metal clamping for a stable stem. All others I bought were dependent on the installer's ability to compress the seal properly and the stem can still flex relative to the wheel.

Yep, they work great. Here's another site for $2.77...

I used the short ones available from Discount Tire. Don't know who makes them.

When I recently bought new tires for our 6 year old fifthwheel, the dealership installed metal valve stems as part of their standard tire replacement. It was included in the price of the purchase of the tires, and they said it was standard practice for ST tires.
EDIT: You may ask, six years old on a 2012 RV, it was built in June 2011, tires from April 2011.
