Adding a bedroom TV (Passport)
I just purchased a Passport 2810bh about 2 weeks ago. We took it out on the first trip this past weekend. With kids going to bed early, we realized we need to install a TV in the bedroom. Doing a knock test, it looks like there is a reinforced backing for the main TV on half of the area. I believe it's the same for the bedroom. Has anyone installed a TV in the bedroom? If so, what mount did you use? It seems that it would have to be an offset mount like the factory mount.

Try using the forum's Search function and type in "TV mount" or "bedroom TV mount". Your question has been discussed previously and there are numerous posts/threads about this very topic.
Note : The search function also turns up threads and posts about "tow vehicle" which is often shortened to "TV" but there is enough material about television sets and mounts for you to browse through.

I didn't find much on the Passport. Some on the Bullets. Passports have hard doors, so you can't brace it across (needs to be a low profile mount).

I have put a tv on the bedroom side. Used a Sanus VSL4 mount which has worked well for the three trips taken since the install. I have the Passport 2810 so it should work for you as well

Was the backing solid that you drilled into? It seems that it's backed only halfway.

Three of the four screws were very solid. Don't know why fourth was less so unless the backing wasn't straight. I put in a 26" Tv which has no weight to it at all so not a problem.

I contacted Keystone. They came back with a response about a week later and said they you could only set a TV in the location. At that point, I had already mounted one. My stud finder showed wood backing up to about the middle of the area. I just offset the TV 2" to the left, it seems solid. I'm taking it on a trip this Thursday, so that will be the test. Attached is pic for anyone's future reference.

Since installing the TV, I've put about 800 miles on the trailer. I haven't seen any problems.

Been looking at tv's can't seem to find one with a small enough base that would fit a tv inside if you decided to just place one on the shelf that is

I had this experience as well, though I think it was 2 of 4 screws. It seems the backing didn't get make it all the way across.
Never the less it worked out just fine except for my perfect mounting of the tv does not allow the removability of the tv and mount to work exactly as designed. To be honest I have not tried that hard, because I have little reason to remove it.
The led tvs weigh so little that it holds up just fine as is. I've towed hundreds of miles with it and not a problem so far. I think ours is a 32 in? It fills the entire space anyways.

Good info. Eventually I may install a TV in our 2810's bedroom too.

My wife thought that a 32" would be too big. I went with a 24" and it's about perfect.
I used this mount: http://www.amazon.com/VideoSecu-Moni.../dp/B000VKCIJU

Inside space specifically the left side seems quite firm or has wood underneath for mounting. Stock TV mount has a pull out bracket (see photo) may get one like this.

TV Mount
I just moved the Sansui TV from the front area to the bedroom area. I used a Sanus Systems Premium VSL4-B1 Fixed Position Mount for 13" - 39" Flat TVs. It has a quick release band that you just pull down and pop the tv off the mount. It only connects with 2 wood screws. Went to Lowes and got the thickest 1 inch wood screws I could find and mounted with that. I installed a smart tv on the front side. Both tvs fit perfectly. I also installed a spilter on the antenna and connect both. Have to figure out how to also split the DVD cable.

I run a Fire TV (new model) for the living room TV and Fire TV Stick for the bedroom. It covers a great deal of content through a few methods. I have my home Time Warner box connected to a Slingbox. Through Slingplayer on the Fire TVs, I can watch any cable show on the road (if the ATT signal is good). Also, I setup a wireless router with a hard drive connected to it. I have movies, TV shows, etc. from various sites on it. PlayOn can record from sites like Netflix, Amazon, etc. and you can save them to the hard drive for later usage.

I suppose reading this post "aged me" 15 years. I recognize most of the names and products, but have never even seen them for sale in this area, much less used them. For us, the "smart TV" hanging on the wall is a "Dr Jeckel/Mr Hyde" in that it has two personalities, one with satellite TV and one that we can't connect to anything because our "wireless internet" is so severely limited. We're still "relegated" to either dial-up or "bandwidth limited" satellite internet. There's no cable, no 4G and certainly no "unlimited internet download capability" within 20 miles of us. Certainly there's no capability to download to a hard drive for later viewing. And, where we camp, there's nothing but "1 bar reception", so forget trying to connect at speeds where "ATT signal is good"..... In much of the UP and northern Michigan, Verizon has 3G service with limited capability, ATT has service in the larger towns and very "spotty service" outside of town. At our house, we have one window that we can stand in front of and get 1 bar on ATT and usually can get 2 or 3 bars of 3G Verizon service in much of the house.
Trying to operate a system as you've described would mean moving to a larger metropolitan area, or at least to Traverse City, Petoskey, Gaylord or Cheboygan, and then, only inside the city limits. Cable is "non-existant" outside those areas.
My thoughts are that trying to keep this kind of "connectivity" is more like "moving suburbia with you rather than escaping it for the weekend..... I suppose everyone has their priorities, but that much "sophistication in entertainment" ??? When reading your post, I was imagining a cable service truck following your camper, laying cable as you turned the corners so you could maintain connectivity.
WOW !!! To think of the "new things" that have "passed us by" since we moved to the woods where we've only heard one siren in 7 years.......
