Solution?

Just got back from a trip where the last place was very sloped and the front legs had to be extended quite a bit including some wood blocks so the legs didn't have to go so far.

Upon retracting one of them is not retracting the full amount it should, it lacks probably 3 inches.

1. Was this because the legs had to travel so far?
2. How do I resolve this?
Thanks in advance.

Manual leveling or auto leveling?

I have had this issue with one of my rear legs. I went to manual level, lowered jacks a little, then went to auto retract and all worked fine. Do not know why this happened. Hope it works for you.

Extending to the limit should not effect the retract.
Generally just shows an error in the system.

Which system is it?
Elec or hydraulic?
I assume a Lippert system?

I would start with an inspection of the leveler leg and make sure it didn't get damaged/bent somehow?
Manually extend and retract and see where you stand.
If all else fails give Lippert a call. They have some of the best over the phone customer service I've had help me.

Yes, Lippert, electric. Still haven't messed with it.

fixed

Yes, I lowered the legs some, not enough to contact ground, then did auto retract all and it fixed itself. Thanks Cougar23.

I believe Lippert recommends lower all legs back down 6” and then raise them all up.

It sounds like you need to re-home the jacks. Instructions in the manual or YouTube.

Ditto here

I had a similar experience. I disconnected the power supply line at each leg. Lowered the legs manually to six inches from flat and then connncted power and raised electrical. Th ey have worked fine ever since. And yes it was lippert system on 2018 Cougar 33MLS. Good luck.
