Moving Day ....

Howdy All;

Soon as I get done here, take Rascal for his morning
'Constitional' and hook-up we will be on our way to Delta, Co.
about 300 miles.
A friend has offered to act as a guide for a fishing excursion
on the Gunnison River.
Plan on stayin there till Sunday or Monday, then it's South to Arrey, N.M.
for the Winter. Just in time it seems, the rain we had yesterday night was
3" of snow at the 10,000' and above level ... deffinately time to migrate.

Have a safe trip. We had 3" of hail Saturday that shut things down around here and our elevation is only 589'

Hankaye & Rascal -

Here's wishing you two safe travel and smooth roads. Do keep an eye on the weather, there is a Pacific hurricane sending moisture up your direction aimed at North Texas. After all, the State Fair is starting - so it's supposed to rain. I think you might be in the path and have some wet roads. Drive safe and sane, and watch for the loonies on the road.

Howdy All;

Thanks for all the good wishes...
The fishin excursion went off without a hitch,
Rascal enjoyed a day leash free, just bein' a dog...
I got skunked (didn't catch a thing), My friend caught 4 or 5
tossed'em all back. The smallest was in the 14-16 inch range,
a Rainbow, the rest were Browns...
When we got back to the RV, Rascal just wanted to take a nap.
I've asked for some local knowledge about using US 550 South from
Montrose, Co. to get me to Aztec, N.M. so I can fish in the San Juan River.
Think I'm going to backtrack to US 191 in Utah and go South that way.
Main reason is the lack of 11,000 ft. mountians and 9% and 10% up and
downhill grades with pulls of 10 miles or greater. Descretion being the
better part of Valor.... I ain't in a race ... I would like to stick around for a
few more years...

Ya'll stay safe out there

hankaye & Rascal (zzzzz)

Howdy All;

397.6 miles later, on the East side of Farmington.
Fishin' hole is only 30 or so miles away. Get to the
State campground and fish the evening diners...
the fabled San Juan River... ooooooooh boooooy !
