Slide wear bar

Does anyone know how the wear bar is attached to the floor? Is it screwed down, is it in a slot in the floor? The slide floor in my passport seems unusually high when i looked under the carpet at the bar it seems bent up like it moved out of a groove in the floor.

Nope - but I can tell you that the left and right sides of my slide floor (or the covering of it, no carpet, some sort of marine grade covering) are slightly higher on the corners than the rest of the cover that hides the bar.

Thanks Sulpher1. I've come to the conclusion I'm going to have to live with the 3/4 inch difference in the floor levels

The ends of the wear bar sits up a bit as it is stapled onto the drip tray. Both ends have also 'collapsed' due to the main slide's weight causing it to ride on the carpet. Have made & installed rollers by cutting out spaces on the inside of the wear bar to keep the outer rubber seal intact.

I'm a rv service tech of 15 years. I've replaced several glide wear bars for several reasons. What you have going on is normal seen on alot of coaches. You can screw the ends of the glide bar down for aesthetics. Not effecting slide function.
