FM Radio Antenna

I have a 2022 Montana 3791RD. I have the entertainment unit built into the living room unit. It includes an AM/FM radio. My TV works fine and radio works fine with Blue Tooth. But my FM does not pickup any of the local stations that have very strong signals. I was looking for a FM antenna but cannot locate. Does anyone know if/where the FM antenna is located?

You may need to pull the radio out of the cabinet. It may not be plugged in, or it might be missing altogether. You can get a splitter and make a coax, tie into the tv antenna.

Like Chuck mentioned, I would look at the back of the radio first just to make sure the antenna cable is plugged in.

From there that cable will run to your Key TV box (probably located in the front pass through)
On our Cougar, the Key TV box is located inside the door to the docking station.
On the back of the Key TV box one of the inputs is from your radio.

From the Key TV box, the antenna cable will go up to the roof.
There isn't a separate FM antenna like older RV's. Everything is located under the Winegard 360 dome on the roof.

Thank you RollMo. I totally missed that on the Key TV schematic. Actually quit logical now that I see it. I’ll look at the back of the radio as well as the back of the Key TV controller.

It’s been interesting. I have learned more about the technology in this 5’er than I ever learned in the 7 years of owning and maintaining my Class A.

My 378BH had the same issue in both the inside radio and the outside kitchen radio. If you pull the radio out the FM antenna will be coiled up behind the radio and not extended at all. I ran mine up the wall and attached it to the tv mount to keep it from falling down. Now the FM radio works great.

Finally got around to pulling the head unit out. The antenna is laying behind the unit wadded up with a mess of other wires. It does not plug into the Key module. There is an unused purple coax cable laying back there that I suspect goes up to the key module but it is not plugged into that. I pulled the antenna out and rerouted so that it lays behind the televator. That will allow me to reach back there and pull it out when needed. I believe I will research an adapter that goes from the antenna out to coaxe cable to see if it will work through Key module

After three years of trying to get my TV and radio to bring in more than a couple stations - (we switched out the KeyTV module) had dealer give it one last try when winterizing it this year. They discovered that the TV and radio wires to antenna were switched! They say they got alot of channels in the shop. Will know in week or so when we head south for a month. Just a thought to check out. FYI- keystone was of no help and wouldn't warranty it after the first year of trying different options even though we had covid issues getting it in to work on it.
