12V Fridge

I just bought the Bullet 250BHS in March and for the entire season, my kitchen Fridge would freeze (wall of ice) on the back of the Refrigerator. This happened on even the lowest setting. Camping world is saying that it's not happening when they test it. This is SO frustrating because it literally happened every time. Has anyone else had this issue?? Also, has anyone had issue with the "fault" light coming on when using the electric hot water? At times, the hot water would not be hot when this fault light was on. Again, Camping world not seeing this issue either.

Welcome to the forum

I would take pictures of the ice in the fridge, with a thermometer showing the temp.

The “fault” light on the water heater switch is there to indicate the LP flame didn’t light. You do have to be plugged into shore power or a generator for the electric side to work.

Ice in the refrigerator is caused by moisture condensing and freezing on the interior. In normal use, the doors are opened and closed dozens of times a day allowing moist air to enter. Add warm/room temperature items, more humidity.

Bring it to the dealer with the fridge empty, they start it up, leave the door closed for a week and then look inside; no ice.

You are experiencing something pretty normal for an unvented 12v refrigerator. We turn our gas/electric fridge on in April and it runs non-stop until November. The fridge defrosts regularly and drains condensate out the exterior wall vent. The freezer has quite an ice build up by the end of the season, but nothing alarming.

As for the water heater, what Chuckster said.

Thanks for your thoughts. I will tell you that we were always plugged into electric at the campsites when our Hot Water electric was having the issues I mentioned. Any other thoughts now that you know that??

If the water heater isn’t heating the water on electric, there is another issue. What brand/model of water heater do you have.

The fault light is for the propane side, and will only light up if you turn the LP side on and the flame doesn’t light. It will go out once the flame stays lit.

Sorry, I just know that on a gas/electric water heater, the fault light illuminates when the gas flame doesn’t ignite. I do not believe the fault light has anything to do with the electric operation of the water heater.
