New Goose Ball adapter by Curt - Lippert approved?

I wonder what Lippert would think of this new hitch my Curt. It uses a king pin adapter but once you're hooked up it operates like a standard 5th wheel hitch. I just saw this and thought I'd see what others think.

Not really a goose ball adapter. Just a hitch pin adapter.

When I dug into this a year or so ago I recall that the "adapter" part that Lippert was saying voided their warranty for the Andersen was the adapter on the pin, this one has it as well. The intent of the letter would have voided this mechanism as well, but, if Lippert bought Curt...... Since it doesn't look exactly like an Andersen, and they belong to Lippert.....maybe all is OK??

Lippert sent this hitch to one of my friends, he is a "Lippert Scout", to try. He installed it in about 5 minutes on his King Pin, torqued bolts to 65 ft lbs. The assembly in the truck only weighs about 60 lbs. He tried it and wrote a review for Lippert. Got to keep the hitch. Hooking up for him is very easy. Only thing I noticed was he no longer has anything to absorb bumps or chucking. But he said he hasn't experienced any chucking since he installed it; about 3 months ago.

Sounds like Lippert needs to more closely define their description of "adapters" as they try to corner the field. That in and of itself makes me an Andersen fan.
