2022 avalanche 372mb Tank heaters
Is there a tank heater on my unit? I can't find anything to activate them and I swore it was an option. Any ideas where to look?

Welcome to the forum
According to this you probably dont have any, just furnace ducting to the underbelly.

Yep, the Avalanche brochure does list them as being heated.
Do you have the "In-Command" touch screen system?

I wonder if they are optional, and the heated underbelly is standard. There was no mention of them in the link I posted.

Ahhh, and the plot thickens. Below is the link to Keystone's stand alone description of the Polar Pack package. It does not list tank heaters along with the model description???

Does the trailer have In Command?

Whoops guess a couple of posts came in while I was researching. Since you don't have In Command have you looked in the pass through for the heater switches up on the wall?

I haven’t been in sales for about 1.5 years now, but the Avalanche didn’t have tank heaters when I was. If you did have them, there would be 3 switches on your control panel. I can’t read the labels on the switches of the pic you posted.
Not sure why you’re looking for them, but personally, I think they’re a waste of time/money. Some may disagree with me, but the tanks are in the same space as your water lines. The water in the tank is much less likely to freeze than the water in the lines. As long as you have a heated underbelly, which you do, I wouldn’t worry about tank heaters.

I looked in the pass through and didn't see any switches. I am assuming I don't have heated tanks in addition to the ducted heating. We're full time in our rv and currently are in MN for work so just trying to keep everything as warm as possible so we don't freeze any water during the winter months

i have tank heaters in my cougar and wondering how hot they get the tanks? do you only use them while traveling? will they melt the tank or burn up the element on a empty tank? if accidentally left on

It is a 12V pad that is adhered to the bottom of the holding tank near the outlet. They won’t melt a tank, or burn up the element. Think of it as a warming blanket you wear in your favorite chair.

thanks..wonder how much draw on the batteries while traveling…i know the TV charges a little bit but if the tank heater draw is exceeding that i guess you could end up with dead batteries after a long trip

If you want them, they are available to be installed aftermarket. https://www.amazon.com/Facon-Holding...Q%3D%3D&sr=8-4

looks like my cougar has “climate guard” four season camping with tank heaters but no foil insulation in floor. and the avalanche has the “polar pack” that has insulation but no tank heaters

I love the designation "POLAR PACKAGE". Guess they must have tested the camper up on the north pole? Let's see... what is the word I am looking for? HYPERBOLE? The OP might want to invest in some propane and a heater water hose.... Minnesota gets cool as I understand it.

Those cutsey names such as Polar, Artic, 4 Season, 1/2 ton towable are just sales gimmicks so named to try to improve rv sales.
As George mentioned if you're in MN all winter your 1st stop should be at the local LP distributor to setup a 100lb, or bigger, bottle with a contract to keep it filled, you'll need it.
Then somewhere to get a heated water hose or heat tape & insulation for your existing hose.
Possibly some foam board to use as skirting. DO NOT be tempted to use hay bales unless you intend on running a little critter hotel for the winter.

The foam board skirting will go a long way to keeping things from freezing up. Stopping airflow under the trailer helps the heating process. I know of people who have added some type of heat source, flood lights work pretty well, under the trailer as well. So having the foam board to stop air flow and retain the heat will really help.

We have already set up all of the above mentioned. Have 4 100lb propane tanks insulation up heated hose pvc sewer with heat cable and insulation over (most of the sewer is under the insulation same with the heated water hose) heated water hose is set so its not on the frozen ground we got 8 gauge plastic up on the windows and sealed so I think we're set I thank everyone for their advice and hope for a smooth sailing winter. I just wanted to see if anyone knew where I might find tank heater switches I'm assuming as the brochure is generic across the board for all avalanche that it's not a feature with ours but that's okay we've taken many measures not to freeze the water this winter just was trying to utilize on double digit negative wind chill days 🙂
