Low Point Drains??

Does anyone know if there are low point drains on my 2010 Outback Sydney Edition 5'er (329fbh)? There are none protruding through the belly enclosure. All my old trailers had the drains. I am thinking that if there are drains, maybe they are hidden above one of the small square access panels on the belly?? I winterized the plumbing, but want to make sure I didn't miss the drains if I actually have them (they usually hold water).
Thanks

Seeing that all your plumbing is on the door side ... I would think the drains should be near the front of your steps. Mine only stick out a few inches and look the same as my fresh-water drain. Hope this helps, Hank

Hi Hank
I don't think they are there, unless they are up in the cutout for the steps. I have been under the trailer many times and looked at every area. Is it possible that Keystone never ran them through the belly?

Steve:
If you have done a thorough search and are unable to locate them, you might get in contact with your dealer who should know their location. Is there, by any chance, that they may be hidden behind a flap or "door" in the underbelly? This flap or door may be secured by plastic ties or screws and may not be readily apparent. You need to ensure that there is no water remaining in your lines to avoid having them freeze up on you and this can only be accomplished by finding your low point drains and draining any existing water from them.
Perhaps the newer models have some other system/location for these drains other than the underbelly??

I just brought my trailer home today from CW. They had it for two months. I spent this entire time arguing with them about structural issues that they said were normal. It turned out that the side wall (left front) had come loose from the frame (not enough screws). They finally listened to me, opened up the chin, found the problem and fixed it, but I did not have a good experience with the dealer. I had to call Keystone and get them involved to get proper service. I wont be calling the dealer anytime soon if I can help it. I am pretty much a do it your selfer anyway. I will spend some time tomorrow on my back looking for them. There are a couple of square cut outs on the belly with self tappers. Maybe up in one of those. Ill let you know what I find.

Steve, Usually those cut-outs are the location of the slide motors. Good luck at finding those drains, Hank ..... on my Cougar they are directly under the shower.

Yes, both of the cutouts are located near where the motors would be. I'll be disecting things tomorrow until I find them.

Steve, I am not sure if all campers come equipped with low point drains. My first 5er built in 06 did not have them and I have looked at others units and they do not offer them either. Did the Outback unit advertise them? Just I thought.

Alright, so I win this weeks moron award. I just went out back with coffee in hand and what did i see? Two low point drains between the axles as plain as day. I have been under this trailer at least a dozen times and they never stood out. Thanks for the feedback everyone and sorry to waste your typing energies.

Smile You TOO

Hey Steve, don't feel bad, I did the same thing but I had to have a beer in my hand before I seen them on my Sprinter.

Therink.....Sorry I missed your concern as I initially had a heck of a time finding my low point drains as well....I have the 329FBH model in a 2011. Now there are at least 2 of us with the same unit on this forum and can swap stories, hopefully "short stories"... pulling ours next week for the first time from N GA to Destin, FL. I frequent the forum often. Welcome aboard!
