Slide out leaks when closed

I have a 2007 Keystone VR1 with a leaking slide out (no slide top awning). It leaks down the inside of the wall and into the cabinet above the couch. I have sealed the inside and outside seams with 4" Eternabond (doubled in an L shape on the outside) and it still leaks when closed. Dealer is useless. Anyone else have this issue?

Ours does not leak but it could have. I put a slide topper on right away.
Last month I cleaned and waxed everything from the roof down.
I found a hex head sheet metal screw inside the rain gutter above the slide.
I have no idea who put it there or why but it was not sealed and would be partially covered in water during rain.
Since I don't know how it got there I did not want to remove it so I used silicone to seal it without interfering with water flow through the gutter.
You might check your rain gutter to see if you have something similar.

Smile Slide leaks when closed

Take a look at the top corners of your slide when closed. I found that my kitchen is out of adjustment when closed and it pulls the bottom in so the top pops out just enough to let water in. So when I close my kitchen I back it out just a hair which allows the top to seal and haven't had a problem yet. I will adjust it later when I get time but retirement is really keeping me busy, I don't know how I ever worked a fulltime job and still got anything done.

Found the problem

I found the problem. The 45 deg butt joint in the outside frame, top corner was wicking water behind the seal and into the wall......fixed!!

Floor repair to 2005 Springdale BL295

I don't know if this will help anyone, but our slide out apparently had a leak that went undiscovered for too long. By the time we got to it, part of the floor had softened very bad. Here are some pics of the repair. The steps were:

1. Cut out parts of the original floor that were bad (even under the slide which is a real pain!)
2. Remove water soaked insulation (with nasty mold)
3. Run dehumidifier for a few days while floor was open.
4. Add pressure treated joists for support of new plywood (maybe overkill since existing joists are not).
5. Add new insulation
6. Caulked corners of slide and coated all joists with automotive rubberized undercoating.
7. Installed new plywood.
