Floor repair to 2005 Springdale BL295
I don't know if this will help anyone, but our slide out apparently had a leak that went undiscovered for too long. By the time we got to it, part of the floor had softened very bad. Here are some pics of the repair. The steps were:
1. Cut out parts of the original floor that were bad (even under the slide which is a real pain!)
2. Remove water soaked insulation (with nasty mold)
3. Run dehumidifier for a few days while floor was open.
4. Add pressure treated joists for support of new plywood (maybe overkill since existing joists are not).
5. Add new insulation
6. Caulked corners of slide and coated all joists with automotive rubberized undercoating.
7. Installed new plywood.
