Slide stuck

We have a 2002 Sprinter model #259RBS. We have not used it a whole lot and suddenly have an issue with the slide out. When we go to put it out, the top seems to stick and the bottom where it should drop past the interior floor won't drop. I noticed also that one of the outside plugs had no power, but that might be a reset with the GFI, of course that's in the bathroom that we can't get too. We have had this camper from new and had some issues with the cord at first, the dealer did fix that. It was otherwise all good until a couple winters ago when the linoleum all cracked. We are hoping to get this fixed and in good working order again. At times it's been our demon camper, so hoping this isn't a huge expensive fix on the slide. Any input would be great.

Ok, so we got the slide out, but had to push it a bit. Mechanically it seems fine. Is there something that you are supposed to use on the gaskets? And the rubber roof over the slide sticks to these gaskets. Other people who have slides said they were told to spray something on them. Our dealer never told us to, nor does the documentation say if you should. Also what's best when it's parked, slide in or slide out? We've debated this for a few years now.

My dealer told me to use this twice a year.

They also told me to use this on the slideout.

Goodluck.

It is recommended that if you are storing your RV for periods longer than a week, the slide should be retracted (in). This information is taken from the Lippert slide manual.
Some people have had success with Aerospace 303 Protectorant when applied to the seals around the slides. It claims to keep them supple as well as protected from UV damage.
